| Jeff began his career in endurance sports as a runner. He was a five time high school All-American track athlete in his hometown of Lincroft, New Jersey. Jeff went on to become the captain and academic team captain of his collegiate Track and Field team at the University of North Carolina, where he studied Exercise Sport Science. To finish his collegiate career, Jeff became an ACC Conference Track Champion. Following years of success on the track, roads, and trails (2008 Double Dipsea Champion) Jeff looked for another challenge. He turned to triathlons in 2009 in hopes of becoming a more well-rounded athlete, "a Whole Athlete", in the beautiful surroundings of Marin County. It was a great transition as he turned in his surfboards for a bike and learned to swim without one. After one year in the sport, Jeff met elite criteria and is currently racing as a Professional Triathlete. He has a full schedule of races ranging from Sprint triathlons to Ironman and is hopeful to qualify for the Ironman World Championships. Jeff's coaching is based off of his many years involved in endurance sport. He knows what it is like to be a beginner in a new sport, an amateur looking to make the podium, a professional athlete, and a family man trying to make time for his passion. He specializes in multisport, track & field, trail running, road running, and youth-sport coaching. Jeff is currently a Physical Education teacher at the Marin Country Day School. He has held multi-sport youth camps and has many years of experience working with children. Jeff is certified in advanced CPR, First Aid and has eight seasons of ocean rescue experience. His main coaching philosophy is that communication is of the utmost importance. Jeff is willing to communicate extensively to get you on an optimal training program and enjoys being the person on the other side of the stopwatch for you. He is always striving to provide the best coaching service and this shows by his continued professional development through the International Triathlon Coach's Association, USAT, and USATF. Jeff lives in San Anselmo, California with his wife and one-year-old son. Jeff is the coach of his wife, who is a professional runner, Olympic Trials qualifier, and was a five time All-American while at Duke University. When not training, racing, coaching, or teaching you will probably find Jeff and his family at the beach with their two Black Labradors. Contact Jeff: jeffreypet@gmail.com Program Options
