Playing an important domestique role, Steven helped teammate Tom Peterson win stage 2, giving everything to drive the breakaway with Peterson, through the cold, rain into Santa Cruz. 1/26/09Rachel Lloyd (Cal Giant/Specialized) takes her second top-10 finish in a World Cup in as many weeks with 5th place finish in the final round of the cyclocross World Cup series in Milano, Italy. After a strong 7th place finish at the challenging, muddy Roubaix World Cup last weekend, Rachel broke into the top-5 at Milan as she finalized her preparation for the Cross World Championships in Hoogerheide, Netherlands next Sunday. 1/16/09Shelley Olds (Proman Racing) scored two top-10 finishes at the track World Cup in Beijing. Against the world's best, Shelley took 6th place in the points race, and 8th place in the scratch race. Only 10 days prior, Shelley showed her track prowess at the 6 days of Rotterdam with 2nd, 1st, 6th, & 2nd in the elimination races, as well as 7th overall in the madison with Dutch partner, Sissy van Alebek. |
