at the elite level for more than a decade. Specializing in training
with powermeters, John has successfully coached riders from Juniors
to Masters over the past seven years. He integrates his wealth of
knowledge of power-based training, optimal nutrition for endurance
athletes and cycling biomechanics to address the needs of the whole

Roady - Associate Coach & Multisport Specialist
Multisport coaching
Dusty
Roady brings over a decade of coaching and competitive experience
to Whole Athlete as a multisport coach. She is a certified personal
trainer, USAT Level II coach, and Level 1 USA Track and Field coach.
Dusty is also a certified soccer coach, is licensed with the California
Interscholastic Federation, and has coached volleyball and softball,
as well as strength and conditioning for high school boys’
baseball, girls’ softball, and girls’ lacrosse. More> |

Adam
Waskow is a USA cycling coach and avid cyclist of many years. He
has an insatiable thirst for cycling science and brings this passion
and knowledge into his coaching. Adam believes in providing his
athletes with a balanced program that stresses not only the fundamentals
of periodization but also recognizes the importance of recovery,
goal setting and the value of having fun. He is well versed in training

Marvin
Zauderer - Associate Coach & Mental Training Expert

Marvin
is a USA Cycling Level II Coach and Masters road racer. He frequently
leads Group Riding Skills clinics for the Marin Cyclists road club.
Marvin came to cycling later in life, and so has particular sensitivity
toward athletes who are new to pursuing fitness, social, or competitive
goals with their cycling. In his approach to coaching, Marvin attends
closely to athletes' goals, strengths, and areas for development.

Meredith

Meredith
Miller knows what it takes to be a competitive athlete as she has
excelled in sports, especially soccer and cycling. Meredith was
an All-Big Ten soccer player at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
before picking up cycling in 1998. Her passion for the sport really
gained momentum after moving to Northern California where she began
to realize the potential of a career in cycling. Unsure of how to
train properly, Meredith became part of the Whole Athlete program

Rachel
Lloyd - Associate Coach & Massage Therapist
Road, MTB, cyclocross, multisport coaching
Rachel Lloyd, CMT has been involved with the Whole Athlete program
longer than any other athlete, first as a professional cyclist (MTB,
cyclocross & road racing) and now as coach. She has tremendous
experience in training and recovery methods for cycling as well as
a strong background in running track and cross country. Her technical
skills on the bike are evident in strong performances in downhill
racing, and she integrates these skills into helping others perform,
offering skills clinics and technique analysis on the mountain bike.

Lisa
Hunt - Associate Coach

A competitive athlete all her life, Lisa understands the benefits
associated with disciplined training programs. A competitive tennis
player in high school, she was ranked #1 in Maryland and won the National
18 and under doubles championships. She was coached by one of tennis’
all-time champions, Grand Slam winner Donald Budge. She has more than
a decade of competitve cycling experience and is well-versed in training

Despite
doing a relatively poor job of picking his parents in regards to
inherent athletic ability, Peter Nicholson has managed to become
a force in the competitive world of Northern California Masters
and Elite bike racing. He credits this not to any particularly long
history in the sport nor storied prior athletic achievements, but
to a genuine passion for cycling. This passion has been enabled
by rigorous, diligent, and efficient training with the aid of power

Abby
Cunningham - Associate Coach / Nutritional Specialist

Abby likes food. And her eclectic background makes her uniquely qualified
as a nutrition know-it-all. Raised on meat and potatoes in suburban
Chicago, Abby ventured west in the late 1980’s, where she discovered
veggie burgers, yoga, and Chinese Medicine, much to the bemusement
of her friends back East. After nearly two decades she has finally
been vindicated, as new scientific studies espouse the benefits of
a traditional, whole-foods diet, combined with relaxation and exercise.

Simon
Andalib - Associate Coach

Simon’s love for cycling began when he moved to Marin County
from England about 20 years ago. As his primary form of transportation
to and from work, cycling quickly became a passion that evolved into
mountain bike racing. Simon climbed his way up the hills and advanced
from beginner to the expert level before he transitioned to road racing.

Shelley
Olds - Associate Coach

Shelley
Olds grew up in Massachusetts and received her undergraduate degree
from Roanoke College in Virginia where she served as the Captain
of the Women's Soccer Team for 2 consecutive years. She was named
All-State, All-Region, "Player of the Year", and was nominated
as an All-American. Shelley was introduced to cycling by riding
on the back of a mountain bike tandem in 2005. Since then she has
become a Category 1 cyclist in three different disciplines; track,
road, and cyclocross. More>
